Used Scanners on hand! “Orange Box” Laser Scanners For 20 years we’ve all lived with these Scanners- they’ve been a godsend by increasing the throughput of the Coe Chargers. But they’ve also been a curse because of the slow turnaround on repairs. Our new Repair and Calibration facility is online as of November 1, and our goal is to turn your scanners around in days instead of weeks, and to make them more accurate than ever! The basis that the 3950 and 5560 Scanners operate on is a series of 512 Pixels (or reference points) along the travel of the Laser Beam. Until now these Scanners have been calibrated using every-other Pixel against a reference point to determine the accuracy of the camera. Our new Calibration bench has been built using the State-of-the-Art hardware and a program that we’ve written that not only calibrates Every Pixel, but, divides each pixel into several fractions to maximize our accuracy. We use the data that the Camera sees and measure it with a linear encoder to compare the error from an aging Laser or other cause. We’re frequently able to edit an Eprom chip in the scanner to compensate for this error to give more life to an old unit! This accuracy is Directly translated into Faster and More Accurate scanning data for you, and that means higher yield at the end of the shift-day in and day out! Less waste-more plywood! We’re stocking the replacement parts for these units to make repairs quickly; we’ve got the best people on board to do the repairs and calibrations, and we’ve got the newest, fastest facility! We’re offering our repair services at an introductory labor rate, plus we’re offering an upgrade to Solid-State Laser/Diode at cost to introduce our new service- give us a call with your questions!
